my favorite weapon. pride. I spent a long time deliberating the last line of this #haiku. The alternative was "life's intermission." I consulted a few friends and family and I was surprised that there wasn't really a clear winner. I think I'm happy with the final version, but wanted to share the alternate line since a lot of people seemed to like that one too. the empties. let go. growth mindset. I wrote this to commemorate a full year since we lost my grandmother. My Granny and I were very close and though her absence has become familiar now, I still think of her on a daily basis and constantly have this surreal awareness of all the ways life has quietly changed. summer wear. I keep seeing dandelions everywhere and it makes me so happy! This is a quote from a web fiction series I finished a couple years back.
